Developer Relations / Community Manager - Remote (Israel or US based)

StackPulse helps teams deliver and run more reliable software by enriching and automating incident response.

We’re looking for an experienced Community Manager and leader to establish and grow our Developer Relations program.

Who You Are

A Community Manager / Leader with experience dealing with communities of Software Developers, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineers. Preferred: you’ve worked in companies that build products for developers

You are active on social media and online forums, being involved (and, preferably, managing) communities of like-minded individuals, preferably in the field of DevOps, Software Development, etc...

You can both contribute to generating written content (blogs / articles) and speaking meetups / events on subjects related to modern software development lifecycle

You can build a team and create a Developer Relations program, setting goals, measurements and tracking progress

You are excited about new technologies and how they shape our world

You like working with people and you enjoy building and managing teams consisting of exceptional individuals

You deeply care about the software your company produces and can become a true evangelist

You are highly organized and metrics driven

Build a diverse global team responsible for the Developer Relations at StackPulse, operating in an agile, results-oriented fashion

Work directly with the company executives and become a major contributor to building StackPulse’s Product Led Growth-based GTM.

Receive the required support and coaching to become successful in your position.

Create industry first community of people exchanging practices and methodologies of Incident Response management for production incidents of modern software services.

Become the face and the voice of a brand that is addressing the most urgent problem engineering organizations are facing today: making software services more reliable.

Responsibilities

Establishing the DevRel practice, first working as a direct contributor, and then recruiting exceptional individuals to amplify the team

Help build the StackPulse mindshare among developers and DevOps/SREs responsible for moden cloud-native software services

Building the brand image on social media, blogging, forums, and in open source communities; incentivizing employees to regularly engage in activities alongside the DevRel team;

Engaging with local meetup communities on the subjects of Site Reliability Engineering and driving the open exchange of ideas and opinions

Laying a foundation for an open exchange/marketplace for practices/methodologies of dealing with production incidents, developing and sharing playbooks for typical cloud-native components and architectures

Find new channels and ways for engaging with developers and DevOps professionals

Drive content-generation efforts to support developer relations

Monitoring, measuring and managing your community:

Social media activities

Technical articles and blogs

Engagement on Stack Overflow, Reddit, etc.

Placing speakers at meetups and conferences

This role includes some travel worldwide

Desired Skills And Experience

Track record of personal engagement on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn in technological communities (Software Developers, DevOps, …)- A must

3 years experience in a developer relations or advocacy role in the high tech company industry, preferably in an early stage technological company

Excellent interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to effectively connect with developers, enjoy planning workshops, and attending technical events and conferences

Analytical mindset and must have the ability to set goals, execute and measure the results

Experience in recruiting and managing Developer Relations / Marketing professionals

Deep understanding of the developer ecosystem, especially in the DevOps scene

Ability to understand different developer personas and engage with all
