Overall Nature and Scope of Position
The AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) Project Director is an organized, detail-oriented, hospitable, outgoing, and integral part of our community engagement team. The Project Director has full-time responsibility for the development and operation of the AmeriCorps Seniors Retired and Senior Volunteer Programs (RSVP) in Anderson County, SC, in coordination with Rebuild Upstate and AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Advisory Council. In addition, this person will work in cooperation with Rebuild Upstate staff and Advisory Council members to obtain resources for the program.
The Project Director’s primary responsibilities include developing all phases of the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP operations, recruiting RSVP individuals and groups, planning successful projects with our project management team, ensuring a quality experience on-site, completing post-project follow-ups with Rebuild Upstate, and completing all reporting requirements for the Corporation for National and Community Service. This person is responsible for assisting with volunteer appreciation campaigns such as the annual Because of You BBQ. This individual will also assist in planning Rebuild Anderson, and Wake Up with Rebuild, our annual awareness breakfast with the assistance of the community engagement team and leadership volunteers.
Success in this role includes a thorough understanding of the organization’s processes, making sure all volunteer groups have a great volunteer experience, and meeting all RSVP Grant requirements. This position will report to Dayle Stewart, Community Engagement Director.

Experience working with volunteers and seniors
Computer literacy; experience with Google Apps/G Suite a plus
Reliable personal transportation
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills necessary for preparing grants, written reports and giving oral presentations and trainings
Ability to attend after hours and weekend meetings/events is required
Strong community connections in Anderson County, SC
1-3 years of customer service experience
Experience with federal grant reporting
Strong listening skills
Hours & Compensation
Salary: $31,000.00 to $34,000.00 /year based on experience
