The Company

BeMyApp is a rapidly-growing, multi-faceted agency in the technology space whose mission is to foster digital transformation for businesses and organizations and support them in the adoption of the latest disruptive technologies and services. For the past 10 years, the company has helped more than 200 clients through the execution of tech events and digital strategies. We have offices in the US and Europe and our clients include tech industry leaders such as Intel, IBM, Samsung, Salesforce, as well as brands like L’Oreal, Mercedes, NBCUniversal and others.

Position Summary

Utilizing our brand, build and engage with an online community of developers, designers, etc. to promote our BeMyApp events and gather hackathon community leaders in a centralized place while leveraging existing communities and content to create a centralized and global hackathon hub. Work in tandem with staff of social media marketers to create dynamic copy in the Hackathon/BeMyApp brand voice, promote content through organic SMM and ad-driven posts, and respond to messages/comments, also in the brand voice.

You should be a successful creative writer or have a creative instinct for new ideas and be able to respond quickly and both genuinely and within the bounds of our brand parameters. Basically, we want you to sound natural without going off brand. Great research skills and an eye for newsworthy content in our sphere are also a plus.

We expect this position to determine community growth strategy and roadmap, schedule and post content, gather relevant content, manage content creation, drive followers/subscribers, initiate online discussion, connect with other community managers and find ways to collaborate, manage insights/analytics, manage/moderate online communities and oversee social media. Collaborate with internal teams (outreach manager, community outreach manager, social media team, etc.) to drive the overall strategy.

Community Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities are:

Online community strategy and online community management Forum and social media moderation and management Community support & customer support Content scheduling and posting Management of content creation Content moderation Social Media Strategy Influencer & creator programs

Community Manager KPI’s & Objectives are:

Create strategy for success of and completion of following KPI’s Kickstart community growth Obtain corporate leads from community (5 leads a month) 10% of registrants for our own events are from the community Engage with 1 free partnership per event Grow the community to 15k users by the end of the year Land small deals i.e. newsletter promotion and sale of platform

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Proven work experience as a community manager in the developer/tech industry Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum) Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events) Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent writing skills Experience running social media accounts for reputable brands Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Additional Experience/Skills:

Trello/Asana, Hootsuite/Buffer, etc. Photoshop and/or Canva skills would be plus. History of growing online communities.
