Yates & Sons Construction Company has one opening available for the position of Assistant Superintendent-MEP Coordinator in Philadelphia, MS (Neshoba County) with the following qualifications: Requires Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in architecture or civil engineering. Also Requires one year of experience supporting operations of large-scale multimillion dollar industrial and commercial projects performing the following: reviewing and analyzing project construction drawings and specifications; reviewing and coordinating the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, low voltage and fire protection system design and installation for projects utilizing programs such as Autocad and 3DMax; preparing internal construction inspection plans including a checklist of inspection points of construction and installation; and inspecting all phases of construction and installation for compliance with drawings, specifications, and acceptable safe operating, installation and construction practices. Must be willing to relocate to unanticipated client construction sites anywhere in the U.S. every 9 to 24 months. Job duties for the position include: Work along with the Owner of the project, General Superintendent, Project Manager/Senior Manager/PX as well as trade partners to support the operations of a construction site, from planning and scheduling by utilizing the Microsoft package, to coordinating field activities and installations to reviewing costs and contract documents to completion of project with specific attention to the mechanical, plumbing, electrical and life safety systems. Review and coordinate the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, low voltage and fire protection systems design and installation for the project by utilizing programs such as Autocad, 3D Max, Bluebeam Revu, Solibri and Revizto. Assist with mechanical and electrical inquiries about the design and construction issues from preconstruction through construction, startup, commissioning, occupancy and warranty by utilizing program software Procore and Trimbel-ProjectSight. Inspect the project site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, safety and/or sanitation standards as certified by OSHA 30 and internal Yates Safety programs, to ensure the project team is meeting or exceeding required deadlines and goals. Communicate any design conflicts in the field that are necessary to study with the architect/engineer responsible of the project using Procore and Trimbel-ProjectSight. Provide input to the contract of the trade partners to include all items required in the field. Perform document control process at the site for NCR logs, production charts, materials deliveries and safety documentation using the Microsoft package and Bluebeam Revu. Share technical advice to personnel, review specifications, products data and instructions for material installation and use, and identify all required submittals. Work with trade partner supervisors to find solutions to construction issues and resolve them within the safety standards and considering the project schedule and budget. Assist with coordination meetings among mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems and trade partners responsible for each area with Procore, Cisco Webex Meeting and Outlook mail.
