Job Description

Job Title:Command Center OperatorRole Description:-Monitor all batch flow processing and insure timely completion of endpoints/milestones. Identify delays or bottlenecks using proprietary and vendor tools and resolve or escalate accordingly.-Perform level 1 and level 2 support and resolution for all batch abends.-Track incoming and outgoing transmissions ensuring they meet deadlines, escalating to appropriate vendors and Data center Management when necessary.-Monitor real time performance of the computing environment utilizing automated solutions, 3rd party monitoring software and in-house proprietary tools.-Track and document all outages and incidents which adversely impact the environmentJob Requirements:-Must have 5+ years administration experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler functions to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a Tivoli Workload Scheduler 8.6/9.3-Experience with event-based scheduling-Experience supporting a TWS End-to-End scheduling environment-Experience using CA-11 (CA Workload Automation Restart Option for z/OS Schedulers)-Ability to work with a diverse group of people of different skills, backgrounds, departments and management levels.-Candidate must have experience in Mainframe batch environment; knowledge of support operations, best practices and processes.-The employee follows guidelines, checklist and instructions as documented in the service catalog.-Monitor infrastructure using various mainframe/3270 GUI tools.-Have strong familiarity with JES commands on Mainframe 3270 interface-Extremely strong attention to detail-Ability to create and improve technical procedural documentation-Strong communications and soft skills-Must be willing to work night shift *Justification: Command Center Operations is a mission-critical role for Mainframe Operations and must be fully staffed at all times, 24x7x365.
