Job Description

The equipment operator II is responsible for:

Operating machinery, loading and hauling, maintaining machinery and equipment.

Operating Machinery:Operates one or more types of heavy equipment on asphalt crew, clears brush, does slope work and makes excavations, fills ditches and grades.Operates loaders, mowers and tractors in leveling and maintenance.Clears snow and ice from roads and parking lots.

Loading & hauling:Loads, hauls, and unloads materials and equipmentMaintaining machinery & equipment:Performs mechanical maintenance and service work on equipment operated.

Knowledge of:Operating procedures for all equipment assignedSkill(s) in:Time managementWritten communication

Ability to:Operate heavy equipment skillfully, safely and according to traffic laws and regulations.Read, comprehend and apply instruction manuals, drawings and to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.Safely use mechanical hand tools and operate automotive and other heavy motorized equipment.Perform routine maintenance on equipment.Work outdoors when inclement weather conditions exits.Use and maintain the tools, materials and equipment used in construction and maintenance activities.Machinery:Hand tools, chain saw, rubber tire loader, tractor and mower, dozer, track loader, track hoe, bob cat, blade.Vehicles:Pick up truck, one ton truck, tandem truck & bucket TruckExperience:

Education:

Licenses/Certifications:Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
