We are currently seeking individuals to work asOPERATORSfor ourPAVING CREWSin South Carolina. The operators would work with the current asphalt paving crews as an operator and perform work on various projects such as commercial parking lots, city streets, county, and state roadways, as well as interstate highways.
The desirable candidates must be experienced in the asphalt industry. The successful candidates for this role will have a demonstrated ability to work well with other crew members and shall be focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
Individual shall be dedicated to working safely at all times.
Ability to perform stone set-up and milling operations in accordance with DOT, local and commercial specifications.
Operate equipment per plan and quality specifications as instructed by crew foreman to insure daily scheduleds/estimates are met.
Ability to read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).
Operate asphalt paving equipment (Asphalt/Concrete pavers, Asphalt Rollers, Mills, Tractor Brooms, etc.).
Potentially operate multiple pieces of equipment, be a laborer at times, flag traffic or perform any other task required by the foreman.
Must have a positive attitude and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and nights when necessary
Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
Ability to work well with team members or inspectors.
Proficient with GPS grade and slope control.
Reliable transportation from and to work a must!
