Balfour Beatty Investments - North America Balfour Beatty Investments - North America QC/Safety Project Superintendent Newport News, VA 23604 About the role The QC/Safety Superintendent oversees the daily construction /renovation activities at the worksite, including monitoring and enforcing quality control and safety while incorporating sustainable development practices What you'll be doing Daily in field interaction & coordination with contractors Daily scheduling, coordination contractor, vendors, and stakeholders Tracking of contractors developed schedule and communication of delays to stakeholders including coordinated solutions to capture lost time Daily safety, COVID & environmental actions including tracking Daily quality control actions Daily/weekly reports Attend weekly progress meetings Oversight of “corrective” items found during QC inspections this includes tracking and coordination with BBC Facility Management to generate Work Orders Maintenance and updates of all tracking spreadsheets Manage EPA RRP Pamphlets to residents in legacy homes (Pre 1978) Track waste manifests Track waste diversion and recycling In progress photos Coordinate with Facility Management of any Environmental Testing requirements. Coordinate with Facility Management any moisture related conditions. Performs other duties as assigned. Typical Physical Demands: Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs. Who we're looking for High School graduation or equivalent 4+ years of successful work experience in building construction, remodeling, construction project coordination, experience. Experience in quality control inspections and production of all phases of residential construction / renovations. Experience in safety inspections of all phases of residential construction / renovations. Ability to understand scopes of work and specifications. Knowledge in OSHA and EPA Regulations Familiar with local and industry standard building codes and regulations Working knowledge of Microsoft Office a must: Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook Working knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software Strong knowledge utilizing iPhone and tablet for inspections and documentation. 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health certification Knowledge and ability to manage Online Construction Management software Strong work ethic and commitment to contributing to a collaborative team environment.
