Reference : 583217Senior Equipment Engineer Position description
Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, located in Buckhannon, WV, is looking for an energetic, innovative engineer to lead projects in the area of equipment upgrades, procurement, replacement, and project management. The Senior Equipment Engineer is responsible for increased performance of machinery and equipment by addressing throughput, run to run, and downtime related issues through failure analysis. The Engineer will coordinate activities according to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards (through the Reliability Pillar) while impacting the overall equipment effectiveness, through a systematic approach of planning and executing key equipment and maintenance projects. The Engineer role requires a collaborative leadership style and ability to work with others; is self-motivated; able to work with minimum supervision; possesses skill set that will enable and drive continuous improvement; and proven leadership to govern the development of world-class maintenance systems based on Total Productive Maintenance principles. This critical, high-profile position is expected to lead projects and project teams across the site with an emphasis on improving equipment reliability by increasing mean time between failures and finding ways to reduce the mean time to repair equipment. This position will work to set up standards for maintenance process that will be needed, such as, standardized maintenance parts and procedures, and in setting strategies for the replacement of equipment, capital investment analysis, and related project management.
The position focuses on the overall equipment maintenance plan across the site and entails active work in the areas of planned, predictive, and autonomous maintenance with the goal of eliminating unscheduled downtime and increasing the availability of machinery and equipment.
Professional license or certification highly desired, including Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Project Management Professional, and/or Professional Engineer. WIlling to assist quality candidate with licensure within the first two years of employment.
Salary commensurate with education, experience, and licensure.

EducationBachelor's degree in a technical engineering discipline Project management, machine design and installation, and/or robotic automation and application, highly desired Advanced engineering degree in mechanical or electrical, highly desired
Work ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience in an engineering role supporting equipment reliability, maintenance and project management Project management experience, including oversite of contractors, machine and safety system design, and equipment optimization Experience with machine and systems operation and integration, highly desired Additional Requirements
Practical and Technical QualificationsAble to draft, design, and build prints for various applications using AutoCAD or similar software required Computer proficiency, including a strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required Strong project management skills required Independently manage a workload consisting of long-term projects and unplanned day-to-day priorities required Demonstrated understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, preventive and predictive maintenance systems, and condition monitoring and fixed time maintenance strategies preferred Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM), World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and continuous improvement experience is preferred preferred Hands-on leader willing to assist maintenance and operators to develop an dimplement new proceudres and equipment to improve equipment reliability and meet future needs Who are we ?
