Kforce's client, a growing Engineering Company in the Mountlake Terrace, WA area is seeking a Test Equipment Engineering Manager. Duties:Will Support in the definition and execution of business initiatives Develop, manage and maintain/design processes, product verification & qualifications, guidelines, and criteria Lead test engineering group personnel and collaboration with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, business development, etc.), to achieve overall assignment objectives Facilitate good program management skills on engineering activities Define and maintain control of department, project and product costs and schedules Support the development and approval of project cost estimates and schedules; Ensure teams and personnel meet program requirements through mentoring and appropriate staffing Maintain technical liaison with customers, suppliers, contractors and other functional groups through effective teamwork and communication Support the definition and management of technical and program requirements, including the generation and flow-down of subsystem specifications and requirements Manage test engineering processes, leading process definition and improvement efforts for the test engineering group Ensure compliance with all company, department and regulatory procedures and requirements, including Export Compliance and ITAR Assume complete technical engineering leadership for all products assigned to test engineering Provide oversight and approval for product testing and equipment design, ensuring that all design and analysis activities are complete, accurate, and meet program requirements Provide direction and technical support to Operations on day-to-day business, ensuring on-time delivery and quality control Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Electrical, Computer Science, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Physics, or related field 7 + years of relevant experience in products/automated equipment design and development (Aerospace environment is a plus) 3-5 years of experience in a management role leading a team of direct reports Needs to have experience designing and building test equipment- ATE Development testing (design verification, qualification, EMI testing) Sustaining support (maintaining existing equipment, upgrade, production failure analysis support) Project management experience nice to have because building test equipment is done under and capital expenditure which requires them to plan, execute, and track like a real project Budget management for department, oversight for lab operations/management via the supervisor Proven design project leadership ability, including the demonstrated ability to form and lead cross-functional teams Working knowledge of practical managerial techniques, leadership, and financial management as well as all factors affecting business results Advanced degree Lean or DMAIC or Six Sigma certification is a plus Exposure to manufacturing environment helpful Test equipment design includes schematic design, automation design using C, C#, LabVIEW is preferred Analog and or Digital experience is a plus but not required Program management experience Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
