The expectations for this role are to create new opportunities and expand the existing sales pipeline. This position will be selling all our service lines with the main focus being on our Digital Archive platform that only Iron Mountain offers. Must be able to work with the rich media owners and entertainment clients that need not only a solution, but a strategy for the preservation of their data, content, digital and physical assets. Must be well versed on our competitors as well as technical trends in the industry in order to adequately convey the need for the offering. Must be fluent in entertainment/rich media technology and processes and be able to articulate how all IMES technical services compliment each other - landing at the Archive Platform as the natural conclusion. The role will have the full support of the Vice President of Global Technology, the Director of Global Client Solutions, Engineering Management (globally), Management of Digital Studio Services, and the Director of Marketing. The Senior Business Development Executive, will generate sales and revenue for Iron Mountain Entertainment Services (IMES) with a focus on our Digital Content Repository (DCR) product to meet or exceed forecast. This person will expand IMES Client Base for Digital Storage and technology solutions. Generate synergistic sales for IMES digital/technology solutions including but not limited to migration from physical assets to file, and restoration of data from existing data archive media. Provide feedback from the Market to inform the development of sales enablement tools and marketing materials.
Key Accountabilities :
Meet budgeted DCR revenue targets by driving business development in new and existing accounts as well as new markets (e.g. Nashville Artists, Sports Teams, International Content Creators).
Be an industry expert and maintain a high level of knowledge of the digital storage landscape and be able to articulate advantages and disadvantages of alternate approaches to DCR.
Stay current with changes in the industry, competition, product/service offerings and pricing offered from competitors and impart that knowledge to the team.
Be knowledgeable of upcoming RFI, RFP, Tender in advance of publication.
Must be able to accelerate the sales cycle while having a keen sensitivity to the psyche and approach of the Entertainment based client.
Generate accurate sales forecasts and projections for DCR and other technology offerings communicate these forecasts and projections to IMES Sales and Solutions
5-10 years experience in Entertainment or Technology Sales with a demonstrable track record.
BA Degree/MBA is a plus
Membership in Entertainment Industry Associations such as ETC, HPA, SMPTE (a huge plus!)
